I was looking forward to today. It was to be a day at my pace; get the kids on the bus, walk the dog, get ready, and go shopping. No hurry, no 5 other things I needed to be doing in the next ten minutes. "Curses, foiled again!" This picture was take Sun at 7:30am, by 5:30pm there was 25 inches. There has been more falling and blowing every day since, hence the 3rd snow day this week! The boys are happy, Mommy really wanted to get stuff done all by herself. She is now searching for a solution that will make kids and self happy. The local bounce house place that won't be busy because none of the other schools are closed, or drag crabby kids with her shopping with the promise of lunch at McD's? Sigh. How one begins to depend on school to give one a few hours of freedom. Hope your friday is a good one!

I hope the rest of your day gets better. Thank God we don't have snow like that here, at present, anyway.
You could tire them out! Let them have a snow fight outside for a while, and build a snowman or somthing, they'll be knackered soon enough...
we managed to do some shopping and playing in the snow and are now on a computer or watching a moive - and mommy is about to nap!
We had a snow day for just over an inch of snow last week. I'll bet for 32 inches, they'd just close down the borough...
Snow days really do stop being fun when they aren't YOUR days off...it might be a good day to see if there's anything you can "finish off" :)!
going to a high school in a district that began with "A" was always a bummer. we had to listen to snow reports over and over just to make SURE our school was still open. somehow, even if every other school in the city was closed, Amherst pulled through and stayed open. looking back, i think there were some parental bribes going on! in college, down on long island, i was in the student commons one day watching a bills game (i didn't even have a tv my freshman year..sad, i know) and someone came in and said, you have to leave. i said "huh?" they said that it had started to snow and they might get a couple of inches so they were closing the building. oh what a difference from e. state to west state! LOL....glad u had fun today anyway..i'm jealous of your nap!
What really stinks is when your Superintendent makes the decision to close the schools on whether or not HE can get to the school AND he lives around the corner or worse yet in your great-grandfather's house a block from the building.
